BCL Grow: Sanctification — Galatians 5:22-23
Sanctification — Galatians 5:22-23
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. — Galatians 5:22-23
"We need to realize that only Christ through his Spirit enables us to manifest the fruit of the Spirit. We cannot produce this fruit on our own. Our chief desire should be that this fruit of righteousness, and not the works of the flesh, would be evident in us." — J. V. Fesko, "The Fruit of the Spirit Is..." p. 65.
Steps to Take
1. Think: Taking into account the events of your day, think about the kind of fruit of the Spirit that you especially want to be evident in your life today.
2. Pray: Pray to your heavenly Father that the Holy Spirit would produce that fruit in you.
3. Focus: Focus on denying yourself and living unto God in all things each day.
